The Angela King | Gallery
Director's Statement It means something for an art gallery and dealer to have had a presence on
Royal Street for over thirty years. Having been the gallery Director for most of those years, I took personal ownership in 2005, re-naming the gallery Angela King Gallery and locating it on the corner of Royal and Bienville Streets. The beautiful old building I chose required a complete refreshing and redesigning. Now, with its marble tiled floors, fourteen-foot ceilings, generous wall space and broad expanses of window glass, the gallery is a splendid place to illuminate the works of our selected artists. As always, it is the art that matters – and behind the art, the artists. For all our long history, we have represented artists from across the United States and Western Europe. We do not focus on a particular medium, genre or style. We simply focus on gifted artists who have mastered their various techniques in order to create works of incredible energy and beauty. Our goal is to make your home a more pleasurable and uplifting environment by offering the finest examples of living, contemporary art, be it painting or sculpture, Pop or Surrealism. Our staff consultants are experienced and knowledgeable. They are capable of helping you with every aspect of art collecting, displaying, lighting and care.
Moreover, they always try to make your gallery experience as delightful as possible. I hope you will visit Angela King Gallery in person soon, but in the meantime, enjoy our website as a prelude. Be sure to contact one of our consultants if you need assistance.
