It may be obvious to say that an artist's work changes as his or her life changes. Often it seems as though I make life changes in order to affect my work, to charge it or recharge it when I have used a standard too often and it becomes stale to me. Energy needs to endlessly transform to have vitality, and the flow of my work needs my life to be challenged for it to grow. Change is good - and welcomed.
-Terri Hallman
Hallman's work is rich and colorful as well as wise and insightful. Her technique is a unique blend of the use of dry pigments and paint with manipulation on many levels.
On Saturday, November 12th, 2011, Terri Hallman's newest and most evovled work was unveiled at Angela King Gallery. Her works are featured through the month of November and on display throughout the year.
